This way of looking makes the body feel both known and strange. It’s like looking at yourself, but also feeling like someone else is watching you. The body becomes real and visible, but it’s still hard to fully control or understand. Being both the one who looks and the one being looked at shows how complex our feelings are about our own bodies.
